The start of the New Year has kicked off plenty of resolutions and massive attempted life changes. While some of us here at No Ceilings might be trying to follow through on those kinds of resolutions as well, the changing of the calendar marks something equally (maybe more important) than those weight-loss goals: the 2023 NBA Draft is now just six short months away.
The NBA and college basketball seasons are just about at the halfway mark, with all NBA teams now having played 41 games and with most college programs halfway through their slate of games. The start of conference play in college basketball has led to many early-season darlings proving themselves, just as some slow starters are finally beginning to kick into gear.
We kicked into gear here at No Ceilings many months ago, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t get on board with the rapid risers and dial it up another notch. Today, we install our first BIG Board of 2023 and our third of the 2023 NBA Draft cycle, as we get ready for the home stretch of the college basketball season and March Madness just after that.
Of course, college basketball is far from the only place in the world to find top-rated prospects these days. Some of the top prospects in this class are carving paths for themselves in professional leagues around the world, from long-standing Euroleague titans to elite up-and-comers proving themselves in the G League or OTE.
There is still quite a bit of time for players to move up and down the rankings. However, with a few months of basketball already in the books for these prospects, the jigsaw pieces of the 2023 NBA Draft puzzle are starting to fall into place. Many hours of film study lie ahead for draft evaluators, but there’s plenty of supporting evidence already for the 60 exciting prospects covered in our BIG Board today.
