2025 NBA Mock Draft: The Last Dance
The moment has arrived. With the 2025 NBA Draft starting TONIGHT, the No Ceilings crew puts together their final Mock Draft of the cycle.
IT’S TIME!!!!!
Welcome, Folks, to Draft Day.
Thank you all for joining us for an incredible cycle. Here’s our FINAL mock draft for the 2025 Draft cycle.
There’s a LOT of buzz going around still, including some wild scenarios thrown around in the lottery. This draft features a ton of intriguing talent, but there are also some players who could slip a little bit on draft night.
Earlier this week, we put together our latest mock draft based on what we would do. Today, we put together a Mock Draft rooted in the buzz we’re hearing from around the league. Most picks will have a couple of names also mentioned as players who could be in the conversation. Because…we all know we love smoke screens this time of the year.
We will have numerous live NBA Draft shows on our YouTube channel today and tomorrow, as well as draft content on the site each day.
Thank you all for a GREAT year, and good luck out there!
#1. DALLAS MAVERICKS — Cooper Flagg
Names We’re Hearing: Uh. Who do you think?
Profile: 6’9”, 221
Year: Freshman (18)
19.2 PTS | 7.5 REB | 4.2 AST | 1.4 STL | 1.4 BLK
48.1 FG% | 38.5 3P% | 84.0 FT%
37 Games | 30.5 MIN
Albert: Keep it moving. Congrats to the Mavs; Cooper Flagg is going to be awesome.
#2. SAN ANTONIO SPURS — Dylan Harper
Names We’re Hearing: It’s Harper.
Profile: 6’6”, 213
Year: Freshman (19)
19.4 PTS | 4.6 REB | 4.0 AST | 1.4 STL | 0.6 BLK
48.4 FG% | 33.3 3P% | 75.0 FT%
29 Games | 32.7 MIN
Maxwell: With Cooper Flagg off the board, the Spurs will win as good a consolation prize as you can find on Planet Earth. Despite playing for a shallow Rutgers team, Harper put an elite amount of pressure on the rim while finishing with pristine efficiency. He made some dazzling passes along the way, too. While a crowded backcourt with Stephon Castle and De’Aaron Fox raises some concerns, it’s rare to find a player with Harper’s blend of power, craft, and skill. All signs point to the Spurs grabbing the best player available at number two, and that’s Dylan Harper.
#3. PHILADELPHIA 76ERS — VJ Edgecombe | G | Baylor
Names We’re Hearing: Looking like VJ.
Profile: 6’5”, 193
Year: Freshman (19)
15.0 PTS | 5.6 REB | 3.2 AST | 2.1 STL | 0.6 BLK
43.6 FG% | 34.0 3P% | 78.2 FT%
33 Games | 32.8 MIN
Nathan: The Philadelphia 76ers have been linked to fewer names as the draft has gotten closer. There’s become a growing belief that VJ Edgecombe is the leader in the clubhouse and has the full attention of the front office brass. As a two-way player with upside as an on-ball guard in the vein of Victor Oladipo, Edgecombe provides a projectable floor with enough potential to grow into a standout player alongside Tyrese Maxey, Jared McCain, and veteran stars Joel Embiid and Paul George.
#4. CHARLOTTE HORNETS — Kon Knueppel | W | Duke
Names We’re Hearing: VJ Edgecombe, Kon Knueppel, Tre Johnson
Profile: 6’6”, 219
Year: Freshman (19)
14.4 PTS | 4.0 REB | 2.7 AST | 1.0 STL | 0.2 BLK
47.9 FG% | 40.6 3P% | 91.4 FT%
39 Games | 30.5 MIN
Stephen: Charlotte has been one of the quietest teams, while also being a team that has conflicting reports being made about who has and hasn’t worked out for them. One thing that you can count on is that Kon is heavily discussed in the Top 5 range and there are rumors about him potentially going one spot higher as well. With the lack of clear signaling here, Charlotte has the choice to go with Kon or Tre Johnson, with Kon being viewed as a “safer” prospect that would be a smart pivot off of their previous draft selections.
#5. UTAH JAZZ — Ace Bailey | F | Rutgers
Names We’re Hearing: Ace Bailey, Tre Johnson, Jeremiah Fears, Kon Knueppel (if available)
Profile: 6’9”, 202
Year: Freshman (18)
17.6 PTS | 7.2 REB | 1.3 AST | 1.0 STL | 1.3 BLK
46.0 FG% | 34.6 3P% | 69.2 FT%
30 Games | 33.4 MIN
Corey: Ace Bailey’s polarizing pre-draft doesn’t change the fact that 6’9" wings with his shot-making highs typically don’t fall past the Top 5—especially with Danny Ainge’s love for upside. Yes, Ace is imperfect, but Utah’s "no more tanking" stance doesn’t prevent them from taking a swing here, giving Bailey the perfect low-pressure runway to develop while keeping themselves in the running for 2026’s three-headed-monster.
#6. WASHINGTON WIZARDS — Tre Johnson | G | Texas
Names We’re Hearing: Tre Johnson, Jeremiah Fears, Derik Queen
Profile: 6’6”, 190
Year: Freshman (19)
19.9 PTS | 3.1 REB | 2.7 AST | 0.9 STL | 0.3 BLK
42.7 FG% | 39.7 3P% | 85.8 FT%
33 Games | 34.8 MIN
Rowan: After their shrewd trade to free up cap space for 2026, the Wizards seem to finally be looking toward a future of contention and exiting their rebuild. They’ve got great pieces in Alex Sarr, Bilal Coulibaly, and Bub Carrington, but adding a shooter like Tre Johnson could solidify their great young core. Johnson’s name has been buzzing due to working out with most teams in this range, and the odds are looking more and more like Washington could be the landing spot for him. If so, he’d pair excellently with Carrington in the backcourt, provide deadeye shooting for the Wizards, and get important mentorship from McCollum, Khris Middleton, and Marcus Smart. There’s some buzz that Johnson could go as high as 4, but if he doesn’t, the feeling is he won’t fall much further.
#7. NEW ORLEANS PELICANS — Khaman Maluach | C | Duke
Names We’re Hearing: Khaman Maluach, Jeremiah Fears, Derik Queen
Profile: 7’2”, 252
Year: Freshman (18)
8.6 PTS | 6.6 REB | 0.5 AST | 0.2 STL | 1.3 BLK
71.2 FG% | 25.0 3P% | 76.6 FT%
39 Games | 21.2 MIN
Rowan: It’s hard to know exactly what direction the Pelicans will go in, given they didn’t intend to ever be in this position last year. Now, with Zion Williamson unable to be relied upon and Brandon Ingram shipped to Toronto, the new Pelicans front office could go in any direction. Selecting Maluach to be the center of the future has some betting odds momentum behind it, but he’d also be a great fit to help improve New Orleans’s defense and interior scoring. It would be a swing for the fences on a big man that Troy Weaver is known for, which helps give some direction for where this pick may go.
#8. BROOKLYN NETS — Egor Demin | G | BYU
Names We’re Hearing: Late buzz of Egor Demin. Jeremiah Fears in play. Khaman Maluach, Derik Queen
Profile: 6’9”, 190
Year: Freshman (19)
10.6 PTS | 3.9 REB | 5.5 AST | 1.2 STL | 0.4 BLK
41.2 FG% | 27.3 3P% | 69.5 FT%
33 Games | 27.5 MIN
Nick: The Brooklyn Nets have brought Egor Demin in for workouts, and they seem to be quite interested in what he could offer them. His playmaking at his size is exemplary, and he can fit in with whatever version of the Nets emerges from their draft haul and free agency moves.
#9. TORONTO RAPTORS — Noa Essengue | F | Ratiopharm Ulm
Names We’re Hearing: Noa Essengue has a lot of fans; Danny Wolf/trade back
Profile: 6’11”, 200
Year: 2006 Born (18)
11.0 PTS | 5.0 REB | 1.2 AST | 1.0 STL | 0.6 BLK
51.5 FG% | 26.1 3P% | 72.4 FT%
53 Games | 23.5 MIN
Rowan: Whispers, rumors, hints, even a coded interview given by Essengue of players he’s trying to emulate his game after: there’s a clear connection between the Raptors and Essengue. He fits the high-upside forward mold that Masai Ujiri loves, has shown some great two-way talent in a high-level league, and is a solid swing for the fences for a team in this range like Toronto.
#10. PHOENIX SUNS — Jeremiah Fears | G | Oklahoma
Names We’re Hearing: Jeremiah Fears’s probable floor; Carter Bryant, Noa Essengue, Derik Queen
Profile: 6’4”, 182
Year: Freshman (18)
17.1 PTS | 4.1 REB | 4.1 AST | 1.6 STL | 0.1 BLK
43.4 FG% | 28.4 3P% | 85.1 FT%
34 Games | 30.1 MIN
Rich: Phoenix made headlines over the weekend by acquiring this pick as part of the Kevin Durant trade, and their needs are both short-term and long-term. The Suns have many shooting guards, but lack a true floor general with high upside as a complete point guard. Fears gives them a solid upside play, while adding value to a need without spending big in free agency. Additionally, the Suns could use Fears as a potential building block if the team continues to fall below expectations. Fears provides a great feel for the game as one of the youngest players in the draft, along with shooting upside better than his percentages indicate, as well as finishing upside as his body matures and develops. Fears could go as early as 5, but he has also been a popular name linked to a potential fall. Fears could have a major fall into the teens, but a lot of teams expect him to go Top 10 in some form or fashion.
#11. PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS — Carter Bryant | F | Arizona
Names We’re Hearing: Carter Bryant, Kasparas Jakucionis
Profile: 6’8”, 214
Year: Freshman (19)
6.5 PTS | 4.1 REB | 1.0 AST | 0.9 STL | 1 BLK
46.0 FG% | 37.1 3P% | 69.5 FT%
37 Games | 19.3 MIN
Nathan: The Portland Trail Blazers have been consistent in building an identity for this franchise around youth, athleticism, and defensive potential. Carter Bryant checks all of these boxes as a rangy forward who can guard multiple positions, rebound, and make plays within structure. Scoot Henderson, Shaedon Sharpe, and Deni Avdija should be able to put Bryant in a position to finish plays and succeed early on offensively.
#12. CHICAGO BULLS — Kasparas Jakucionis | G | Illinois
Names We’re Hearing: Kasparas Jakucionis, Joan Beringer, Collin Murray-Boyles
Profile: 6’6”, 205
Year: Freshman (18)
15.0 PTS | 5.7 REB | 4.7 AST | 0.9 STL | 0.3 BLK
44.0 FG% | 31.8 3P% | 84.5 FT%
33 Games | 31.9 MIN
Corey: Lithuanian? Check. Illinois ties? Double Check. I kid, but Jakucionis really does fit Chicago’s guard mold to a T: creative playmaker, on/off-ball versatility, and a quick-hitting, pace-pushing style that we saw Chicago lean into at the end of the season. Clichés aside, snagging Jakucionis late-lotto feels like free money.
#13. ATLANTA HAWKS (via SAC) — Joan Beringer | C | Olimpija
Names We’re Hearing: Joan Beringer, Carter Bryant, Asa Newell
Profile: 6’10”, 230
Year: 2006 Born (18)
5.2 PTS | 4.8 REB | 0.5 AST | 0.5 STL | 1.4 BLK
62.6 FG% | 0.0 3P% | 56.6 FT%
60 Games | 18.2 MIN
Stephen: Beringer is one of a few names that you’ll hear could go higher than this, but a lot has to break the right way. Atlanta has names on this roster, and just traded for Kristaps Porzingis. While he is a name with some brand recognition, Beringer could still be viewed as a pick here for Atlanta, based on their positional preference and style of play. Even when KP comes back, having a little frontcourt depth won’t hurt, as this has been a lesson many teams may have learned while watching the NBA Playoffs.
#14. SAN ANTONIO SPURS (via ATL) — Cedric Coward | F | Washington State
Names We’re Hearing: Cedric Coward, Joan Beringer, Collin Murray-Boyles, Hugo Gonzalez
Profile: 6’6”, 213
Year: Senior (21)
17.7 PTS | 7.0 REB | 3.7 AST | 0.8 STL | 1.7 BLK
55.7 FG% | 40.0 3P% | 83.9 FT%
6 Games | 32.8 MIN
Jam: Coward feels very much like the ideal Spurs player: a sharpshooting 3-and-D wing with positional size, ball skills, and high character. Coward’s floor is safe and impactful alongside a ceiling that’s higher than he gets credit for having.
#15. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER (via MIA) — Collin Murray-Boyles | F | South Carolina
Names We’re Hearing: Collin Murray-Boyles, Thomas Sorber, Danny Wolf, Nique Clifford, Cedric Coward
Profile: 6’8”, 239
Year: Sophomore (19)
16.8 PTS | 8.3 REB | 2.4 AST | 1.5 STL | 1.3 BLK
58.6 FG% | 26.5 3P% | 70.7 FT%
32 Games | 30.7 MIN
Rowan: Murray-Boyles’s range has been hard to pin down, with some rumors in the lottery and others in the mid first round. The “worst-kept secret” mentioned by scouts on multiple teams is how many big men Oklahoma City has scouted in this class. CMB’s defense, upside, and intangibles are a great fit for the new champions, even if he’ll be a depth piece to start his career.
#16. MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES (via ORL) — Nique Clifford | W | Colorado State
Names We’re Hearing: Nique Clifford, Cedric Coward, Joan Beringer, Thomas Sorber
Profile: 6’6”, 202
Year: Senior (23)
18.9 PTS | 9.6 REB | 4.4 AST | 1.2 STL | 0.6 BLK
49.6 FG% | 37.7 3P% | 77.7 FT%
36 Games | 35.4 MIN
Maxwell: The Grizzlies have long shown a predilection for well-rounded, ultra-productive college players, and that’s Nique Clifford. He’s a stat-sheer stuffing wing who can help fill the new Desmond Bane-sized gap by committee. Given their desire to compete, Clifford also fits the bill as a proven prospect who has led his team in big games while checking important character boxes behind the scenes.
#17. MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES (via DET) — Thomas Sorber | C | Georgetown
Names We’re Hearing: Thomas Sorber, Danny Wolf, Rasheer Fleming, Nique Clifford
Profile: 6’10”, 262
Year: Freshman (19)
14.5 PTS | 8.5 REB | 2.4 AST | 1.5 STL | 2.0 BLK
53.2 FG% | 16.2 3P% | 72.4 FT%
24 Games | 31.4 MIN
Metcalf: In recent drafts, the Timberwolves have been known to take an upside swing at a position of need. Their frontcourt depth in the short term isn’t great, but it is even more worrisome looking long term. Sorber gives them some immediate rim protection with offensive versatility, along with a ton of long-term upside. Some other names, like Danny Wolf and Rasheer Fleming, make sense here. Also, if there is someone who falls in the above picks, the Timberwolves could easily be the team to jump all over it.
#18. WASHINGTON WIZARDS (via MEM) — Derik Queen | C | Maryland
Names We’re Hearing: A lot of them. This could be a floor for guys who slip.
Profile: 6’10”, 247
Year: Freshman (20)
16.5 PTS | 9.0 REB | 1.9 AST | 1.1 STL | 1.1 BLK
52.6 FG% | 20.0 3P% | 76.6 FT%
36 Games | 30.4 MIN
Rich: Washington’s biggest goal for draft night continues to be about value and finding unique upside plays. Derik Queen could be the second straight Baltimore product selected by Washington, after Bub Carrington last year. While he may not fit the defensive goals this young core is looking to achieve, Queen’s best fit is next to a big that can stretch the floor and defend the rim like Alex Sarr. As Queen’s jump shot range develops, his unique playmaking and ability to make others better will only help him succeed on a team that is able to afford him playing through mistakes.
#19. BROOKLYN NETS (via MIL) — Maxime Raynaud | C | Stanford
Names We’re Hearing: Nolan Traore, Maxime Raynaud
Profile: 7’1”, 236
Year: Senior (22)
20.2 PTS | 10.6 REB | 1.7 AST | 0.9 STL | 1.4 BLK
46.7 FG% | 34.5 3P% | 77.0 FT%
35 Games | 33.5 MIN
Nick: Recent intel indicates that the Nets are interested in taking Maxime Raynaud here as a potential floor-spacing center. With Brooklyn’s plethora of first round picks, they can afford to take a swing on Raynaud’s possible contributions here.
#20. MIAMI HEAT (via GSW) — Walter Clayton Jr | G | Florida
Names We’re Hearing: Walter Clayton Jr., Liam McNeeley
Profile: 6’3”, 199
Year: Senior (22)
18.5 PTS | 3.7 REB | 4.1 AST | 1.2 STL | 0.5 BLK
45.1 FG% | 39.2 3P% | 87.1 FT%
38 Games | 32.4 MIN
Albert: This seems like an absolute lock after Clayton Jr. canceled all his other workouts after working out for the Heat for a second time. Miami gets a killer shotmaker who they could look to contribute from day one. Miami should be thrilled about the type of competitor and scorer they’re adding to their roster.
#21. UTAH JAZZ (via MIN) — Danny Wolf | C | Michigan
Names We’re Hearing: A lot.
Profile: 7’0”, 251
Year: Junior (20)
13.2 PTS | 9.7 REB | 3.6 AST | 0.7 STL | 1.4 BLK
49.7 FG% | 33.6 3P% | 59.4 FT%
37 Games | 30.4 MIN
Metcalf: Adding some skill and versatility to the front court would make a lot of sense for the Jazz. Wolf seemingly has a pretty wide range starting in the late lottery with a floor of the mid-20s, but teams are encouraged by how well he’s been shooting throughout his predraft process. His emergence as a legitimate on-ball creator this year was huge for his draft stock. The Jazz still need playmaking, and Wolf can provide that from a unique position while also providing some lineup flexibility, being able to play the 4 and 5.
#22. BROOKLYN NETS (via LAL) — Nolan Traore | G | Saint Quentin
Names We’re Hearing: Nolan Traore, Noah Penda
Profile: 6’4”, 175
Year: 2006 Born (18)
12.2 PTS | 1.9 REB | 4.7 AST | 0.7 STL | 0.0 BLK
41.0 FG% | 31.4 3P% | 71.1 FT%
44 Games | 22.7 MIN
Nathan: Nolan Traore quietly put together a great end to his season over in France, and has his stock trending upward in NBA circles. Traore continues to be a name linked to the Brooklyn Nets over the last few weeks as the type of guard that could enhance the team’s offensive attack with his speed in transition and ability to create for others off the dribble.
#23. NEW ORLEANS PELICANS (via IND) — Asa Newell | F/C | Georgia
Profile: 6’10”, 223
Year: Freshman (19)
15.4 PTS | 6.9 REB | 0.9 AST | 1.0 STL | 1.0 BLK
54.3 FG% | 29.2 3P% | 74.8 FT%
33 Games | 29.1 MIN
Metcalf: Going with multiple bigs may feel funky, especially given the strong rookie season from Yves Missi. However, we know members of their front office like to stockpile the frontcourt, and they have been linked to bigs with both picks. Newell apparently had a tremendous workout with the Pelicans, and if they buy the shot and his ability to space the floor, the Pelicans could have a really fun frontcourt rotation for a long time. Newell has also been linked with some teams in the teens, so don’t be shocked if he isn’t even available at this spot.
#24. OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER (via LAC) — Liam McNeeley | F | UConn
Names We’re Hearing: Nique Clifford, Danny Wolf, Trade out
Profile: 6’8”, 214
Year: Freshman (19)
14.5 PTS | 6 REB | 2.3 AST | 0.6 STL | 0.2 BLK
38.1 FG% | 31.7 3P% | 86.6 FT%
27 Games | 32 MIN
Nick: The Oklahoma City Thunder, fresh on the heels of their championship, would be quite interested in taking the bet on Liam McNeeley’s shooting returning to his high school levels following his recovery from the injury that took him out and hobbled him for the second half of the season. His solid team defense and good positional playmaking would be a picture-perfect fit with the Thunder’s recent draft choices.
#25. ORLANDO MAGIC (via DEN) — Jase Richardson | G | Michigan State
Profile: 6’1”, 178
Year: Freshman (19)
12.1 PTS | 3.3 REB | 1.9 AST | 0.8 STL | 0.3 BLK
49.3 FG% | 41.2 3P% | 83.6 FT%
36 Games | 25.3 MIN
Maxwell: The Magic have been seeking shooting at the point guard spot for ages. Jase Richardson fits that need like a glove. His mistake-free approach, efficiency, and ability to play off other players exceptionally well would enable him to slide into the Magic’s jumbo playmaking core seamlessly.
#26. BROOKLYN NETS (via NYK) — Will Riley | W | Illinois
Profile: 6’9”, 195
Year: Freshman (19)
12.6 PTS | 4.1 REB | 2.2 AST | 0.3 STL | 0.3 BLK
43.2 FG% | 32.6 3P% | 72.4 FT%
35 Games | 25.5 MIN
Jam: With five picks in the first round, Will Riley is a fantastic swing on a long and rangy pass-dribble-shoot wing with shot creation upside and defensive tools. Despite his lean frame, he could be a big pickup for Brooklyn here.
#27. BROOKLYN NETS (via HOU) — Hugo Gonzalez | F | Real Madrid
Profile: 6’7”, 222
Year: 2006 Born (19)
3.6 PTS | 1.8 REB | 0.6 AST | 0.3 STL | 0.3 BLK
42.0 FG% | 30.0 3P% | 76.2 FT%
62 Games | 11.0 MIN
Stephen: The Nets made a point of showing how much they value the international scouting prospects in their hit YouTube mini-series, Scout. With that being the case, Brooklyn goes with Hugo Gonzalez, who measured very well at the combine. While he is used to playing behind NBA players in Real Madrid, the Nets can afford to turn Hugo loose on the league, and find out how hard-nosed he is defensively–while also having the space to let him do some second-unit scoring and creation.
#28. BOSTON CELTICS — Ryan Kalkbrenner | C | Creighton
Names We’re Hearing: Ryan Kalkbrenner, Noah Penda, Rasheer Fleming
Profile: 7’2”, 257
Year: Senior (23)
19.2 PTS | 8.7 REB | 1.5 AST | 0.5 STL | 2.7 BLK
65.3 FG% | 34.4 3P% | 68.1 FT%
35 Games | 34.4 MIN
Rucker: Boston has been active in the trade market and now finds itself with two picks in favorable positions. There are a number of routes Boston can go in, as they need to find some depth here at 28 and have one of the first picks of Day Two. Creighton big man Ryan Kalkbrenner could be an option here. Kalkbrenner has been connected to teams such as Phoenix as well, so Boston might have to get their guy here unless they want to risk losing him. Some other names potentially in the mix here include Noah Penda and Rasheer Fleming.
#29. PHOENIX SUNS (via CLE) — Ben Saraf | G | Ratiopharm Ulm
Names We’re Hearing: Jase Richardson, Ryan Kalkbrenner, Ben Saraf
Profile: 6’6”, 20
Year: 2006 Born (19)
12.5 PTS | 2.6 REB | 4.3 AST | 1.2 STL | 0.3 BLK
45.8 FG% | 30.3 3P% | 75.7 FT%
51 Games | 23.7 MIN
Albert: If the Suns walk away with Jeremiah Fears and Ben Saraf, they’d be on track to set themselves up for a bright future in the post-Kevin Durant era. The amount of playmaking they’d be adding in the two would be immense, and with Saraf, you get a real dog of a competitor. Saraf has a lot of room to grow as a shooter, but the play-making ability and lefty funkiness might remind Suns fans of team legend Goran Dragic.
#30. LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS (via OKC) — Yanic Konan Niederhauser | C | Penn State
Names We’re Hearing: Yanic Konan Niederhauser, Noah Penda
Profile: 7’0”, 243
Year: Junior (22)
12.9 PTS | 6.3 REB | 0.8 AST | 0.7 STL | 2.3 BLK
61.1 FG% | 9.1 3P% | 66.4 FT%
29 Games | 25.1 MIN
Rowan: By the end of the first round, teams will eschew the popular rankings and hone in on “their guys” with their picks. The Clippers are a team that, at times, looked great and at others looked to be aging less gracefully than hoped. While Ivica Zubac had a banner year, the team lacks athleticism and shot-blocking in their frontcourt. That’s where Yanic Konan Niederhauser, who had a stellar pre-draft process, comes in.
#31. MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES (via UTA) — Rasheer Fleming | F | Saint Joseph’s
Profile: 6’9”, 232
