2025 Nike Hoop Summit Day Two Reactions
Day Two consisted of numerous practices and players like Nikolas Khamenia, Cameron Boozer, Tajh Ariza, and others having a strong showing. Tyler Metcalf shares his biggest takeaways from day two.
Day Two of Hoop Summit was jam-packed with two practices for the World Team and one (open) evening one for Team USA. Both teams focused more on installing a handful of sets and philosophies while also incorporating plenty of shooting drills. This was the first time that Team USA had an open practice, so it was great to see Cam Boozer, AJ Dybantsa, and many others. Unfortunately, both teams have also sustained some injuries that have resulted in roster changes. Dash Daniels is officially out after tweaking something during warmups of the evening session on day one. He’ll be replaced by Shon Abaev, who flew in on Wednesday but has yet to practice. On Team USA, Koa Peat unfortunately still hasn’t recovered from the hand injury that kept him out of the McDonald’s All-American game. He was replaced by Trey McKenney, who did make it in time to practice for the evening session. Here were the biggest standouts for both teams for Day Two.
