The 2026 NBA Draft combine is officially underway, and there is already plenty to take away. Obviously, measurements and one day of drills shouldn’t completely change evaluations, but they also provide a lot of insight into upside and the results of the entire season. Here are some of our biggest takeaways from the second day of the combine.

Who was the Biggest Winner of the Day?

Maxwell: It’s Billy Richmond for me. He did a great job in the shooting drills, which, I get it, is a small sample size. But it was nice to see that he was at least capable in his most important development area. But my word was athletic and intent. He had a 41” vertical, an absurd 10.23 lane agility time, and a blazing 3.06 ¾ court sprint time. Richmond is a ridiculously athletic lockdown defender who makes stuff happen, and those types of guys can at least get on the floor during the regular season. If the shot does come, he’s going to provide excellent value for his likely draft slot.
