The Pitch
Baye Ndongo is a very familiar name on the NBA radar since breaking out as a Georgia Tech freshman and earning an invite to the NBA G League Elite Camp. During that season, Ndongo averaged 12.4 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 1.0 APG, 1.1 BPG, and 0.8 SPG while starting in all 29 of his games played.
Development has been somewhat stagnant since his captivating freshman campaign; however, the transfer to Pittsburgh for his senior season could be the right move to a new environment that reignites his draft stock.
Long (with a 7’3” wingspan), explosive, and rangy, Ndongo leverages his physical tools and energy to shine on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he operates as an athletic, at-the-rim playfinisher (converting 63.5% at the rim in the halfcourt) and second-chance points creator (2.9 ORPG). Defensively, his value lies in his switching upside and playmaking (1.9 stocks per game), particularly through his formidable weak-side shot-blocking and passing lane activity.
