Jam’s Journal: The UConn Train Comes to D.C. and The Battle of the Georges in the Atlantic Ten
Jam recaps his standouts and takeaways from two in-person scouts featuring several Top 60 2026 NBA Draft prospects led by Braylon Mullins, Tarris Reed Jr., and Rafael Castro.
I was recently treated to a pair of exciting games on the scouting trail, with UConn taking on Georgetown and a battle of local rivals in the Atlantic Ten with George Washington visiting George Mason. The UConn fanbase was out in full force and engaged from warm-ups to the final buzzer. The Huskies fed off that energy to pull out a 64-62 road victory over a very competitive Georgetown team. In the battle of the Georges, George Mason held on to homecourt in a hard-fought 69-64 win against George Washington. Let’s recap some of the top standouts from each game.
UConn vs. Georgetown
Braylon Mullins | Freshman | Wing | 6’6” | 196 pounds | UConn
11 points (3-9 FGA, 2-8 3PA, 3-4 FTA), 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 1 block
To no surprise, Braylon Mullins is the top-rated NBA prospect that I saw in the two games. Widely considered a Top 20 prospect at the very least, Mullins continued to impress me despite the rough shooting game. Many of his missed threes were on the mark, including an in-and-out relocation miss.
