Really interesting piece. Loved the point about off nights. Watching a prospect when their shot isn’t falling is really interesting. How they react to struggles and controversies is fascinating.
Great piece, Tyler! Really enjoyed your thought process and “first principles” of scouting.. the portion on “stick to your gut” resonated most, as I believe that’s the most enjoyable part of it, taking big swings and enjoying the process tho it can be tricky as the media cycles get loud!
