Kobe Sanders is one of the more unique prospects in the 2025 NBA Draft and presents a fascinating dilemma for NBA teams. On one hand, the Nevada guard is listed at 6’9”, has a dynamic pull-up scoring game, is an efficient and high-volume playmaker, and has proven to hold his own on defense.

On the other hand, though, Sanders is also an older prospect (will be 23 at the draft), is not an elite athlete, and has a shaky history of outside shooting. Sanders is simultaneously everything that NBA teams have historically looked for and avoided in guards. While some of the indicators are concerning, none of them are detrimental or impossible to overcome. Sanders may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but he can flat-out play.
