Ouija Wonderings Volume 10: 6/27-7/14
Back like he never left, Rowan Kent is here to give his scattered thoughts about the 2026 NBA Draft Class, including Cameron Boozer, Darryn Peterson, AJ Dybantsa, and many others!
It’s been a mere few weeks since the 2025 NBA Draft concluded, which means it’s high time to start digging into the minutiae of the 2026 class. If you’re not already a hundred prospects deep, I’d say that you’re late and have some serious soul-searching to do about whether this is right for you or not.
All jokes aside, welcome back! I started this column last year to try something different and to capture what a regular scouting year looks like for me. While it was initially intended to be a consistent, shorter, bi-weekly offering, Ouija Wonderings often evolved into lengthy, unstructured brain dumps of any and every player I watched over that period.
And you know what? I liked how it changed and became something on its own. The draft cycle is a yearlong dragon with dependable dates like the combine, but more ripples and unexpected moments than you’d expect. Trying to keep a regular chronicle of a fluid process only succeeds in truncating and devaluing the vibes of this column.
Thus, I’m back for another year to put my thoughts into a scattered article at whatever time interval makes the most sense for me! I’ll continue trying to pull back the curtain on how I look, what I’m looking for, and what I’m seeing as I watch basketball, which I hope helps explain what ultimately takes form in my articles at No Ceilings!
