As a finale in written form to a time of offseason reflection, our own Nathan Grubel goes back through some of his biggest misses in his time scouting.
Great article. I always play GM during draft season and it's impossible not to make mistakes. In simplest terms one has to figure out if the player has the skills, athleticism, size, bball IQ and desire to be a great player or not. The first three are readily apparent. And I find most players are very hard workers trying to get better (today's contracts are motivation enough). It's the basketball IQ that's hardest to judge imo and its so important and the one attribute paid attention to the least.

I agree Steve! We’re bound to make mistakes but what can we learn from them? Glad you enjoyed it!
