Corey reading this again, he sounds like Dermarr Johnson from 00s. Any comps come to mind after you’ve seen him live? I keep seeing Brandon Miller around but I don’t see it beyond measurables.
I think that there is some Brandon Miller in his ability to get shots off. But he is taller than Brandon and has a higher release, so I think it is a bit easier for him to shoot over the top. He is also younger than Brandon was as a freshman, so there is more runway for growth in that respect. I think there is some Michael Porter Jr in his game as well, as a guy who has real height and can effortlessly shoot over the top and operate off the ball. If Ace's handle continues to tighten, he is going to be a scary offensive weapon though.
Miller seems like more of a finesse players (shooting ability, the way he slinks around defenders to get to the rim and leverage his passing IQ) than Bailey. I’d be concerned about Bailey except for the vocals on D the good folks at No Ceilings keep highlighting - that’s a great trait that seems to speak to his coach-ability, leadership and willingness to defend.
Why did he go to Rutgers? It feels like an “unserious” move in the sense the he can go there, be the man without having to be coached and flail about if he wants. Maybe like GG going to USC? I dont really get it.
2. Steve Pikiell is an excellent coach that has brought Rutgers from the ashes. His teams excel at the little things, traits maybe Ace is looking for. The opposite of an easy coach, demands a ton out of his players defensively
3. It’s still odd but he was an extremely early commit. Before USA ball this summer he played unaffiliated AAU.

Thanks Jimmy. It’d be very fun if Ace levels up defensively while there, makes him even scarier as a guy who could guard maybe 1-4 at NBA level!
