Our own Tyler Metcalf did a great breakdown of his game recently. I think the fit is a little tricky because he's a non-shooter. He's a more polished defender and passer than Holland, but I have similar concerns about his ability to space the floor. If you're a believer in him becoming a solid enough shooter, and you target a real-deal shooter at 8, I think it's an idea worth considering. I'm ultimately a little bit lower on Castle's athleticism and scoring profile and how it translates to a high-end outcome. But I do think in a draft like this, there are worse picks at 4.
Thanks. My assessment is pretty much in line with Tyler‘s, and I see Castle as the 2nd best fit in the draft for the Spurs (after Risacher). I see him as a work-in-progress shooter, not as a non-shooter (see, e.g. Ron Holland).
Assuming no trade-up, I take whichever of Risacher, Sarr, Castle, or Reed falls to 4 (in that order).
I kept reading for the discussion of Stephon Castle, who seems a likely choice at #4 if they don't move up and Risacher doesn't fall.
First off, thanks for reading our work!

Maxwell, what would be your perfect player pairing at #4 and #8 for the Spurs?
My personal dream scenario is probably Reed falling and then a wing flier like Holland, Cody, Salaun, or Castle at 8.
